Singapore is endued with a decent rainfall of 2,400 millimeters. But the area is restricted to 61,000 hectares. The city is sparing no means to reap this gift. This capitalization of rainfall has been possible only after considerable research and adoption of strict pollution and internal control .

Singapore is holding the top rank in water management and becoming a hydro hub because of its location (A densely populated city) an island lacking freshwater lakes. All credit goes to its public utilities agency as Singapore receives more than half of its water supply from sources like rainwater collection, desalinated water, recycled water etc. And today country is almost self-sufficient in water.

50 years ago, Singapore had just two major water sources, According to the water agency PUB and Today the country has total four major water supply taps, which itself shows the progress in terms of water awareness and innovations involved because, it can easily be noticed in other countries where a significant  drop found in the water bodies. 

Now the people of the country have good, clean drinking water directly coming from the tap. How it all started ? The four national taps/ sources of water in Singapore are Imported water, Water from catchment, recycled water and desalinated water.
